The Philadelphia Rebels are pleased to announce the signing of Sioux Falls Jr. Stampede 18U forward Brendan Westbrook to a NAHL Tender contract for the 2018-19 season.
Westbrook, 18, had 33 points (19 goals and 14 assists) in 53 games this past season in the NAPHL (North American Prospect Hockey League). He also had an outstanding +/- ratio of +36. The 6’0”, 170 lb. Pine City, MN native is a left-handed shot.
“I am honored and very excited about tendering with the Rebels” stated Westbrook. “I can’t wait to continue my career and better myself as a player with this organization” concluded Westbrook.
“Brendan brings good size, skating and physical play to our forward group” stated Rebels Director of Scouting Billy Pugliese. “We look forward to working with him” concluded Pugliese.
The Philadelphia Rebels have announced today that the team has tendered Elite Hockey Program’s forward Jin Lee for the 2018-19 season.
Lee, 16, has 35 points (21 goals and 14 assists) in 38 games so far for EHP, who are proud members of the North American Prospect Hockey League. The 6’, 175 lb native of Allendale, NJ is a left-handed shot.
“It’s an awesome opportunity” stated Lee. “I am very lucky to be tendered by such a well-respected organization, and I’m really excited for what’s to come” concluded Lee.
“Jin is an elite skater with a great upside” stated Rebels Director of Scouting Billy Pugliese. “He is a very intelligent young man and we look forward to seeing him develop into a complete player” said Pugliese.
The Aston Rebels are pleased to announce the signing of Omaha AAA 18U forward Kendrick Frost to a NAHL Tender contract for the 2017-18 season.
Frost, 17, currently has twenty four points (11 goals and 13 assists) in 16 games played so far in the North American Prospect Hockey League (NAPHL). Frost, a 6’5”, 190 lb native of Lee’s Summit, MO, is a right-handed shot.
“It is a great privilege to tender with such a great program like Aston” stated Frost. “I am very excited to see what will happen in the future. I’m looking forward to get a chance to prove myself at the junior hockey level” concluded Frost.
“I am very excited to tender this talented young player” stated Rebels assistant coach Nick Peruzzi. “Kendrick plays with a lot of energy and tenacity – the way we play. We look forward to working with him” concluded Peruzzi.
The Aston Rebels are pleased to announce the signing of Madison Capitals 18U forward Trey LaBarge to a NAHL tender contract for the 2017-18 season.
LaBarge, 17, currently has twelve points (8 goals and 4 assists) in 18 games played so far in the North American Prospect Hockey League (NAPHL). LaBarge, a 6’1”, 193 lb native of Middleton, WI, is a left-handed shot.
“I’m very excited for this tender with the Aston Rebels!” stated LaBarge. “After speaking with Coach Coombs and Coach Peruzzi, I feel this will be a great fit for my style of play and for my development. I believe that I will compliment the Aston Rebels with the type of play that I can bring to the game. Additionally, after talking with the coaches, it is inspiring to see their commitment and confidence in me as a player, especially coming off ACL reconstruction surgery just over six months ago. I look forward to playing with the Aston Rebels, especially in the east coast arena where I can not only add to the team’s continual excellence and success under Coach Coombs, but to gain the exposure the program offers” conclude LaBarge.

The Aston Rebels are pleased to announce the signing of the Minnesota Blades forward Mack Byers to a NAHL Tender contract for the 2017-18 season.
The Long Lake, MN, native, 17, had 40 points (19 goals and 21 assists) in 20, short-season U18 games. He had 22 penalty minutes. The 5’11”, 160 lb left-handed shooting forward also plays for Holy Family Catholic High School of the Minnesota High School Hockey League.
“I am very excited to be apart of the Aston Rebels” stated Byers. “I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in my hockey career with such a class organization” concluded Byers.
