Jamestown, NY – The Jamestown Rebels have acquired defenseman James Miller from the Chippewa Steel in exchange for defenseman Jack Kircher.
Miller, a native of Excelsior, MN, has been involved with the Chippewa organization since the 2019-20 season, where he first got his feet wet in the NAHL, suiting up in three games for the Steel. In 2020-21, Miller finished his first full junior hockey campaign with 2 goals and 5 assists in 31 games played for Chippewa.
Coming over to Jamestown, Miller has had a very good 2021-22 season thus far, where he’s picked up a goal along with 12 assists with the Steel in 25 games. Miller made his Rebels debut this past weekend, suiting up in both games against the New Jersey Titans. Kircher joins Chippewa after putting up 5 assists in 18 games for Jamestown.
Rebels Head Coach/General Manager Joe Coombs expressed his excitement in having Miller join his team.
“We felt our team needed veteran presence, so when James became available, we jumped at the opportunity to add him. James is a skilled puck-moving defenseman who will impact our team immediately.”
Catch Miller and the Rebels next at home on December 17 and 18 when they host the Northeast Generals.
