The Rebels have announced today that the team will be honoring Folcroft Police Officer Christopher Dorman during the Saturday, October 1 game against the Northeast Generals. The game also will be a fundraiser for the purchase of bulletproof vests for the Folcroft Police Department.

Dorman, who will drop the ceremonial first puck, was the first officer on the scene following a dispatch about a possible drug deal in progress behind the Folcroft Station Apartments. Officer Dorman, 25, was shot seven times on June 24, 2016 and his bulletproof vest saved his life. Dorman was released from Penn Presbyterian Medical Center just three days after the shooting. Officer Dorman works part-time for the Folcroft and Millbourne Police Departments and is a volunteer firefighter for the Folcroft Fire Company No. 1.

Individual tickets can be ordered online here or at game time. However, the fundraiser will occur with the purchase of group tickets and 50/50 sale. To order group tickets of 10 or more, please contact Mary Wentz at (888) 637-6523 or e-mail her at mwentz@astonrebels.com.
