Peffall joins Rebels coaching staff

Tom Peffall - Assistant Coach

Philadelphia Rebels General Manager and Head Coach Joe Coombs announced today that Tom Peffall has joined his staff as an assistant coach. Peffall spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach with Neumann University’s NCAA DIII ice hockey team.

“I am very excited to have Tommy on board” stated Coombs. “He is a local boy who played hockey at a very high level. He brings extensive coaching experience from a very successful DIII college program. I know he will have an immediate and positive impact on our program” concluded Coombs.

Peffall was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, where he also played his youth hockey. He retired from playing after the 2013 season where he last signed with the Trenton Titans of the ECHL. While playing in the minor’s during the season, Peffall pursued and completed his education, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at Gwynedd Mercy University. After graduating and hanging up the skates, Tom worked with the Philadelphia Flyers Community Relations department for one season.

Peffall helped guide the Neumann Knights into the Top 10 national rankings during the past two seasons. While at Neumann he worked with the defensemen, video, recruiting and special teams.

Tom currently is pursuing his Master’s degree in Sport Management from Neumann University. He resides in East Norriton, PA. with his fiancé, Andrea.
