Billet Coordinator Letter

Dear Prospective Philadelphia Rebels Billet Family:

The Rebels are currently seeking host families (billet families) for the upcoming 2016-17 season. Players from the United States and abroad will be recruited for this year’s team. These players are highly skilled and dedicated athletes who will be in need of a “home away from home” as they train and pursue their dream of playing collegiate hockey and beyond.

I have been a billet for the past three seasons, and the experience has been very rewarding and fun. The players were an excellent addition to my family. In fact, two of my previous players went onto fulfill their NCAA hockey ambition. At home they were awesome extension of my family. We enjoyed having dinners together, hanging out watching movies, practical jokes and, of course, me cheering them on at their games. The players and their families are very appreciative and my relationships with them have continued long past the season ending buzzer.

The idea is to provide a comfortable, clean, family environment that will help the player excel through the long season ahead. Meals and hydration are important. These players train at a very high level and require a good diet to maintain strength and endurance. There is a compensation package to help offset the cost of room and board along with season tickets and discounted merchandise.  The players have curfews and rules that they are expected to follow throughout the season, but they don’t have much down time with the busy season schedule.

Please take the time to consider being a billet family and don’t hesitate to email me with any questions or concerns.  Please complete the form below if you are interested in becoming an Aston Rebels billet.
